Southwest Stage Funding, LLC d/b/a Cascade Financial Services (“Cascade”)reported a recent data breach that affected 5,564 individuals, including 3 residents of Maine. The breach, which was identified on July 9, 2024, may have exposed sensitive personal information of several individuals, including Maine residents.

The breach was detected after suspicious activity related to certain employee email accounts was noticed. Following the discovery, Cascade took immediate action to secure its systems and engaged third-party forensic specialists to investigate the incident. The investigation revealed that between July 8, 2024, and July 9, 2024, unauthorized access occurred, and certain email accounts were accessed and downloaded by an unknown actor.
