The breach, which occurred between December 26 and December 30, 2024, may have exposed sensitive personal and medical information of patients. According to CNYC, the breach was discovered after the organization identified unusual activity on its network. In response, CNYC immediately launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity specialists to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, but preliminary findings indicate that unauthorized access was gained to certain portions of the network, potentially compromising personal data.
In response to the breach, CNYC has taken immediate steps to secure its systems and has implemented additional security measures to reduce the likelihood of similar incidents occurring in the future. The organization has also reported the breach to law enforcement and is reviewing its data protection policies.
