On September 6, 2023, Sabre GLBL Inc. (“Sabre”) discovered that certain employee-related information, including personal data maintained by Sabre, had been accessed by an unauthorized third party. The breach, which occurred on July 4, 2022, was identified after a series of posts on the dark web concluded in October 2023.A detailed data analysis determined that 29,590 individuals, including 24 Maine residents, may have been affected.
Upon becoming aware of the breach, Sabre immediately activated its incident response protocols, implemented containment measures, and engaged a third-party forensic provider to investigate the matter. The company also notified law enforcement and regulatory authorities. Sabre is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through Experian IdentityWorksSM.
