Turning Point of Central California Data Breach Details
On May 31, 2024, the organization identified additional suspicious activity and immediately activated its incident response protocols. An internal investigation was launched, and independent computer forensic specialists were engaged to assess the extent of the breach.
By June 12, 2024, TPOCC determined that personal information of some clients may have been taken from the network. Affected data is currently under review, and the organization is notifying impacted individuals as the investigation progresses.
To mitigate potential risks, TPOCC is offering complimentary identity theft protection services through IDX, which include:
- Credit and CyberScan monitoring
- A $1,000,000 identity theft insurance reimbursement policy
- Fully managed identity theft recovery services
Additionally, individuals whose Social Security Numbers were impacted will receive free credit monitoring and identity restoration services.
What Information Was Compromised?
The potentially exposed data includes:
- Personal Information (names, addresses, and other identifying details)
- Protected Health Information (PHI) for individuals receiving healthcare services
- Social Security Numbers (SSNs) in some cases
At this time, there is no evidence that the stolen data has been misused. However, TPOCC is taking proactive steps to support affected individuals.
