Option Care Health Data Breach

On July 31, 2024, Option Care Health (OCH) detected unauthorized access to an employee’s email inbox, which was quickly flagged by their security tools. After an investigation with forensic experts, it was confirmed on September 16, 2024, that the breach may have exposed the protected health information (PHI) of certain patients. In response, OCH has taken steps to enhance security, such as restricting access to the affected inbox and resetting its password. Additionally, the company is offering identity monitoring services through Kroll at no cost. Affected individuals are encouraged  to enroll in these services using their membership number.
