CEI Vision Partners, LLC (CVP), which operates a network of eye care practices including Columbus Ophthalmology Associates, has informed its patients about a recent cybersecurity incident that may have involved their personal information.
On May 26, 2024, CVP discovered that an unauthorized third party temporarily gained access to the company’s computer network. Upon identifying the breach, CVP immediately secured the network to prevent further unauthorized access and initiated an internal investigation. The company also engaged a forensic security firm to assess the breach and ensure the ongoing security of its computer systems.
