FlexCare Data Breach Details
On or around October 9, 2024, FlexCare detected suspicious activity in an employee’s email account. The company immediately secured the account and launched an investigation to assess the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party had gained access to the affected email account, potentially exposing sensitive information.
As part of its response, FlexCare conducted a detailed review of the compromised data to determine what information was involved and who may have been affected. Individuals receiving a notification were identified as having their data present in the impacted account.
In response to the breach, FlexCare is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring through IDX identity protection services.
The IDX protection package includes:
- Credit and CyberScan monitoring to detect fraudulent activity.
- A $1,000,000 insurance reimbursement policy to cover identity theft-related losses.
- Fully managed identity theft recovery services to assist affected individuals in restoring their financial security.
