On September 2, 2024, G Adventures Inc. encountered a cybersecurity incident that disrupted several IT systems and applications. Upon discovering the breach, G Adventures swiftly launched an investigation, engaged third-party cybersecurity experts, and notified law enforcement. The investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor accessed certain company systems and obtained files containing consumer information.

What Information Was Involved?

The breach, confirmed through an internal review completed by October 21, 2024, included access to personal information such as consumer names and passport numbers. Fortunately, no passport scans or additional passport details (such as place of issuance or date of birth) were compromised. This information was collected by G Adventures for individuals who purchased additional travel products or services prior to hiking the Inca Trail in Peru.
