On January 7, 2024, an unauthorized third party placed malware on the SelectBlinds website. This allowed them to scrape data from sales transactions on the checkout page. SelectBlinds found out about the breach on September 28, 2024, and quickly started an investigation with help from outside cybersecurity experts. They worked to contain the issue, understand how far it reached, and find out what data was affected. The investigation wrapped up on October 10, 2024.
The compromised data includes personal details such as names, email addresses, shipping and billing addresses, phone numbers, and payment card information, including card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV codes. Notifications were sent to affected individuals by U.S. mail and email.
