SoloPoint Solutions Data Breach Details
The breach was discovered on January 15, 2025, when suspicious activity was detected on the company’s server. In response, SoloPoint engaged a cybersecurity forensics firm to investigate the incident and promptly notified law enforcement, including the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Internet Crime Complaint Center.
The breach was identified as a result of unauthorized access to an internal server that stores critical business administration data. The company took immediate action to contain the incident by changing passwords and installing endpoint detection on devices to monitor and respond to any further security threats.
It is important to note that no security codes, access codes, or passwords were compromised, meaning there was no direct access to employee bank accounts. Additionally, health or medical records were not stored on the affected server and were not impacted by the breach.
SoloPoint Solutions has partnered with Experian IdentityWorks to offer affected employees credit monitoring and identity restoration services at no cost. These services will help employees monitor their personal information and respond to any identity theft or fraud resulting from the breach.
