Data Breach Summary
On February 3, 2024, The Ability Experience, formerly known as Push America, identified unauthorized access to its network. Following an in-depth investigation, it was determined that certain files containing personal information were accessed and potentially removed by unauthorized individuals. This incident impacted a total of 3,189 individuals, including one Maine resident.
Upon discovering the breach, The Ability Experience took immediate action to secure its systems and launched a thorough investigation with the assistance of external cybersecurity professionals experienced in handling such incidents. After an extensive forensic investigation and document review, it was determined on November 21, 2024, that files containing personal information were impacted.
To date, there have been no reports of identity fraud or misuse of information as a direct result of this incident. However, out of an abundance of caution, The Ability Experience is offering a complimentary one-year membership to IDX’s identity theft protection services. This service helps detect potential misuse of personal information and offers identity protection focused on immediate resolution of identity theft issues.

The breach involved documents provided by participants and supporters of various programs, including Journey of Hope, Gear Up Florida, Ability Camp/Push Camp, and the Access ABILITY Project. These documents, such as indemnity waivers, contained personal information including names and other sensitive details.
