Aesto worked with external cybersecurity professionals to investigate the incident, and after an extensive forensic review and manual document analysis, confirmed on May 26, 2026, that between on or about December 2, 2025, and December 18, 2025, an unauthorized actor may have accessed or acquired a limited amount of protected health information belonging to Monroe Health Center patients that was stored on Aesto’s network.

The roughly five-month gap between the incident itself and Aesto’s confirmation of the scope of the exposure is not unusual for breaches involving third-party vendors, since forensic investigations into cloud infrastructure incidents can require extensive log review and manual document analysis before investigators can determine with confidence which individuals and records were actually affected.
