While the company reports no known misuse of data, the breach involved unauthorized access to files stored in its virtual back-office environment. On July 10, 2025, US Tiger discovered that a cybersecurity incident had impacted its virtual back-office environment, which supports shared functions with TradeUP Securities. A forensic investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party copied certain files between July 8 and July 9, 2025. Importantly, customer-facing trading operations were not impacted, and no intrusion occurred within TradeUP’s production environment.

Following the discovery, US Tiger conducted a comprehensive review of the compromised files to identify affected individuals. Notifications to impacted individuals were completed on April 17, 2026. The company has also implemented additional security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
